Created by Max ROUQUIE with the help of numerous volunteers, our association has always worked towards the same goals:
- To promote cultural activities in rural areas,
- To promote the heritage of the Bastide of Monflanquin.
Each year (from April to October), the GEM organises a large number of exhibitions of graphic art, sculpture and painting, welcoming local, national and international artists to take part in exhibitions in the heart of the village.
The GEM also has a ‘Sewing Workshop’, where volunteers meet regularly to make decorations, hangings, pennants and flags, and above all to create and look after the 800 costumes that are hired out for the medieval festivities.
Membership of the association is open to all.
